Mary E. Gondola, age 85, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday November 11, 2018, at CT Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Gondola.
Mrs. Gondola was born in West Haven on November 16, 1932, daughter of the late Paul and Helen Szymanski Stachowicz. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed as the Supervisor of Housekeeping at Griffin Hospital for over twenty years until her retirement. Mary enjoyed crafting and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Joanne Gondola Kryvonis of Ansonia, a son, Joseph D. Gondola of Ansonia, grandchildren, Gary Kryvonis, Kevin Bombardier, Stacey Gondola-Tuttle, Michael Gabor, Cori-Lynn Gondola, David Gondola Jr., Jennifer Gondola and Ashley-Jo Gondola, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Gondola, a son, David Gondola and sisters, Lillian Sadick, Pauline Farizo and Stella Sulik.
Visiting will take place on Friday November 16, 2018 from 8:30 – 9:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Derby.
