Mary E. (Kennedy) D’Agostino, age 81, entered into peaceful rest on May 18, 2022, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Charlie” D’Agostino.
Mary was born in Derby on Dec. 21, 1940, daughter of the late Leon G. Kennedy Sr. and Carmela Persico Kennedy. A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she was employed as a customer service rep. at W.E. Bassett Co. in Derby until her retirement. Mary was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Shelton and enjoyed knitting.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Sherri Nimons (Mark) of Ansonia, grandsons, John Nimons of Ansonia and Mark Nimons (Virginia) of Seymour, great-grandson, Maverick James Nimons of Seymour, sisters, Lillian Quedenfeldt of Seymour, Jackie Rimmiller (George) of NY, Judith Verrilli of Bridgeport and Leona Harvie of Derby as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Leon G. Kennedy Jr. and sisters, Linda Kennedy and Patricia Wright.
Per Mary’s request, her funeral service along with inurnment in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia will be private.
