Mary G. Liberatore, 89, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 25, 2015, at Emeritus of Woodbridge. She was the beloved wife of the late Tony P. Liberatore.
Mary was born in Tocco Da Casauria, Province of Pescara, Abruzzi, Italy on July 18, 1925, daughter of the late Antonio and Antonina Bruno Galli. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she worked as a lunch aide at Prendergast School in Ansonia for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by a son, Robert A. Liberatore (Anna) of Longmont, CO, a brother, Anthony Galli (Barbara) of Oxford, sisters, Plautilla Mingrone of Santa Fe, NM and Anne Sullivan of NC, grandchildren, Anthony and Julia Liberatore and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday May 29, 2015, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday, her funeral will be held at 9:45 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will take place in the family plot in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
