Mary G. LoPresti

Mary G. LoPresti, 89, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2013, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving family by her side. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. LoPresti.

Mrs. LoPresti was born in Derby on March 27, 1923, daughter of the late Frank and Nellie Tinari DellaPiano. 

A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she was devoted to her family. 

Mary was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing cards, scratch off lottery tickets, and playing games with her grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 sons, Stephen F. LoPresti (Ceil) and Joseph T. LoPresti (Patricia), a daughter, Jeanne Belchak, all of Ansonia, 2 sisters, Alyce Finn of AZ and Florence Tema (John) of Derby, 6 cherished grandchildren, Joseph LoPresti (Kim), Jessica Bellock (Ken), Jamie Belchak, Jodi Wiinikainen (Matt), Tanya LoPresti, and Nina LoPresti, 6 adored great-grandchildren, Connor, Brooke, Logan, Joey, Alex, and Riley, and several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by a son in law, James S. Belchak, brothers, Louis Tiano and Anthony DellaPiano and sisters, Frances Nuzzolo, Gilda Cerasoli, Margaret Ewen, Helen Ruth and Rose Bianco.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday February 16, 2013, at 9:00 am (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY) at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will follow in the family plot in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Per Mary’s request, there will be no visiting hours. Please omit flowers. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
