Mary J. Willis, 81, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2014, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert R. Willis.
Mrs. Willis was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 7, 1933, daughter of the late Dominic and Mame Zaccheo. A resident of Ansonia since 1963, she was employed at the former Spectrum Plastics in Ansonia for many years until her retirement. Mary was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, UConn Basketball and the L.A. Dodgers.
She is survived by three sons, Edward P. Willis of Seymour, Stephen D. Willis of Ansonia and Joseph J. Willis (Ji Sook) of Lubbock, TX, two daughters, Gail Marie Niezelski of Southbury and Stephanie Tarvin of Putnam, two sisters, Teresa Loua of Staten Island, NY and Santa Petrilla of PA, grandchildren, Timothy Willis of Seymour and Anna Willis of NM, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Willis, daughter in law, Jody R. Willis, brothers, Joseph, Stephen, Angelo, Nunzi and Vito Zaccheo and a sister Grace Manginelli.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday morning December 18, 2014, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 10:30 am, a funeral service in celebration of Mary’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery in Easton.
