Mary Jackem

Mary (Cimino) Jackem, 92, peacefully entered into eternal rest in the early morning hours of October 18, 2016, at Wesley Heights in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley W. Jackem.

Mrs. Jackem was born in Shelton on June 10, 1924, daughter of the late Bernard and Mary Grace DeSantis Cimino. Mary was raised in Shelton and lived in Shelton for many years and also resided in Ansonia. She was employed at Schick Razor in Milford until her retirement.

She is survived by a loving son, Edward L. Jackem and his wife Doris of Chapel Hill, NC, a brother, Joseph P. Cimino of Derby, cherished grandchildren, Matthew Jackem of Chapel Hill, NC, Christopher Jackem of Fayetteville, NC and Nicole Roberts of Asheville, NC, great-granddaughters, Naomi, Stella and Goldie Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen Jackem, a brother, Anthony Red” Jackem and sisters, Philomena Giardina, Angelina Guliuzza, Anna Sampiere, Lena Zampano and Julia Cannetti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday October 22, 2016, at 10:00 am at St. Jude Church in Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting will take place on SATURDAY MORNING from 8:30 am until the procession leaves for church in the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
