Mary Louise Sullivan, age 86, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Griffin Hospital, Derby, after a short illness.
She was born in Chester, PA on July 10, 1924, beloved daughter of the late Albert T. and Mary Lavin Tong. Mary was a communicant of St. Augustine Church of Seymour and was Director of Sales for 43 years for the MassMutual Life Insurance Company of Springfield, MA.
She has been a resident of Seymour for the last 15 years, moving from the Laurels of Enfield, CT.
Mary will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her loving family includes her devoted brothers Albert J. Tong and his wife Patricia of Clearwater, FL and Robert T. Tong and his wife Elene of Largo, FL, her 9 cherished nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved sisters Dorothy Gilyard and Esther Tong.
A Funeral Service in Celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 9:15 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, opposite Klarides Village) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Ave, Seymour.
Interment in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour will take place in the Spring. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 8:15 am until the start of the service at 9:15 a.m.
