Mary Gona Lynn, age 91 of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Robert V. Lynn, passed away peacefully February 26, 2014 at Atria of Stratford.
Mary was born in Ansonia, May 7, 1922, daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Mizicko) Gona and was a lifelong Shelton resident.
She worked as a food service assistant for the former Laurel Heights Hospital of Shelton for many years until her retirement and was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton.
She is survived by her son, Robert R. Lynn of Stafford Springs; her daughter Debra Lynn of Norwalk; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sons, James P. Lynn, and Kenneth N. Lynn; her brothers Andrew and Albert Gona, and her sisters Ann Jadach, and Elizabeth Tichy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:30 A.M. in St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 9 to 11 A.M. in the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton.
