Mary T. (Soukup) Goodman, age 95, of Shelton, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in CT Hospice.
She was the wife of the late Henry Ellsworth Goodman.
She was born in Shelton on January 9, 1919 daughter of August and Frances (Plecek) Soukup and was a lifelong resident.
Mary was employed as a Solderer at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years until her retirement in 1984.
She was an avid Gardener and loved to Bird Watch and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is the beloved mother of Henry Goodman, Ronald Goodman, Francis Goodman and Joyce Shaw. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers August, John and Joseph Soukup and two sisters Rose Bunk and Louise Chmura.
Friends may call on Tuesday Morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Rd. Shelton. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Michael Church, Derby. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
