Mary Zaletta

Mary Fialkovich Krafchik Zaletta, age 97, of Shelton, the beloved widow of Stephen Krafchik and Emil Zaletta, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 in the Hewitt Health Center, Shelton. 

Mrs. Zaletta, a retired operator for Dresser Industries was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Mary (Lazor) Failkovich and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church in Ansonia. Mary enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo and taking trips to the Casino. 

Survivors include her devoted children, William Krafchik and his wife Carmella of New Mexico, and JoAnn Griffin and her husband Walter of Shelton, 5 grandchildren, Susan, Paul, Martha, Peter and Debra, several great-grandchildren, a brother Joseph Fialkovich, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands Mary was pre-deceased by her brothers, Michael, Edward, John, George, and Richard Fialkovich, and sisters, Anna Suhy and baby Mary. 

Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 4th at 9 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in Three Saints R.O. Church 26 Howard Avenue Ansonia for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Thursday from 3 – 7 p.m. Panachida will be at 6:30 p.m.
