Maryann Elaine Ruffalo, age 86, of Shelton, entered into her eternal rest on Monday September 24, 2018 in the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Center with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Andrew Ruffalo.
Mrs. Ruffalo was born on July 13, 1932 daughter of the late Frank Xavier and Josephine ( Durso) Esposito and was a Shelton resident for most of her life.
Nanny as she was called by many was the life of the party. She was always looking towards the next holiday, birthday, or get together where she could shower all with food and love with her never ending energy. She would go out a few Saturday’s a month to hear her favorite singer and get a bit crazy, and get her hair done during the week because blondes just have more fun.
Her family thanks her for the years of caring, worrying, and making sure that they knew that they were loved every single day.
She was the beloved mother of Lesa Fournier and her husband Robert, and Andrea Shorrock and her husband Rick. She was the cherished grandmother of Louis, Rachel, Alicia, Stacey, Ricki Lee, and Ashley, the loving great grandmother of Alexa, Joshua, Hayley, Isabella, Mila, and Mikayla, and the adoring great great grandmother of Henry.
Friends may greet her family on Thursday from 8:30 to 10:00 AM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. At 10:00 AM a funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home. Burial will follow in RIverside Cemetery Shelton.
