Marylou (Pascarelli) Rioux, age 78, of Derby, entered into peaceful rest on May 9, 2022, at Bridgeport Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of George J. Rioux.
Mary Lou was born at home in Hamden on August 30, 1943, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Jausch Pascarelli. A resident of Derby for many years, she was employed as a banker for Peoples Bank in Stratford until her retirement. Marylou was happiest when spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. She is now lighting a fire under the Jets managers! LOL.
In addition to her husband George, she leaves her cherished sons, Robert Scott and his wife Debbie of Stratford and Alan Scott and his wife Linda of Orange, a brother, Frank Pascarelli and his wife Debbie of Cheshire, grandchildren, Alyssa Scott and Eric Confinante of Derby, Justin Scott of Stratford, Joshua Scott of Oxford, Emily Scott of Stratford and Riley Scott of Milford, great-granddaughter, Sadie Ann Scott and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Heather Scott Dunn, a brother, James Pascarelli and a sister, Phyllis Cumbo.
Per Marylou’s request, her funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
