Matthew John Liacos, age 64, of Shelton passed away on Thursday September 29, 2016 at the Waterbury Hospital. He was beloved husband of 39 years to Sharon (Roy) Liacos.
He was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on May 9, 1952 the son of the late George and Velaria (Billet) Liacos.
Matthew was a hard-working, honest, and loving husband and father. He enjoyed the outdoors, fast cars, and spending time with his friends and family. Anyone that knew Matthew knew he was the kind of person who always thought about the wellbeing of others before his own. He will be greatly missed, but may all the memories of him last forever.
He was the loving father of Matthew John Liacos Jr. and Michael Joseph Liacos, the son-in-law of Antoinette Roy, the brother of Thomas Liacos and his wife Judy, the brother of Linda Felner and her husband Richard, and the brother-in-law of Christine Padilla, and uncle to several nieces and nephews. Matthew was predeceased by his brother George Liacos, his father-in-law Joseph Roy, and his brother-in-law Joseph Roy Jr.
Matthew’s services will be private. Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road Shelton, CT. 06484, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
