Melina T. (Capitanio) Bourque, 78, of Derby, beloved wife of Jacques J. Bourque, peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 29, 2012, at Griffin Hospital.
Mrs. Bourque was born in Torrington on March 10, 1934, daughter of the late Massimiliano and Maria Roman Capitanio. She was a resident of Torrington before moving to Derby in 1961. Melina was devoted to her family and was a faithful communicant of St. Jude Church in Derby. There, she was a member of the Ladies Guild, a worker at the former Bingo, and embroidered Baptismal garments. She enjoyed traveling and cooking Italian food.
In addition to her husband Jack, she is survived by two daughters, Patrice Baldwin and her husband James of Seymour and Renee Bradley of Oxford, a brother, Robert E. Capitanio of Torrington, five cherished granddaughters, Nichole Baldwin of N. Redding, Ma, Kara and Emily Baldwin of Seymour, and Taylor and Melody Bradley of Oxford, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sons, Thomas and Francis Bourque, a son in law, Leonard R. Bradley, and a daughter in law, Doreen Ferla Bourque.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday May 31, 2012, at 9:15am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Jude Church in Derby. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Mausoleum in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4 – 7 pm.
