Merritt C. Clark, an 83-year-old Derby resident and husband of 55 years to Paula P. Clark, entered into eternal rest Nov. 2 at Masonicare in Wallingford.
He was born June 20, 1934 in New Haven, son of the late Charles M. and Georgette Anderson Clark.
He graduated from The Hopkins’ School, class of 1952, Dartmouth College, class of 1956 and Thayer School of Engineering, class of 1957. He worked at AT&T and S.N.E.T until 1989 where he was an electrical engineer and taught at the AT&T Data Communications School in Cooperstown, N.Y. Upon retirement, he taught Mathematics for The Hopkins School & Foote School.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his son David M. Clark (Jean) of Arlington, MA., Susan C. Shaw of Milford, his sister Patricia C. Wilson of Beverly, MA., and four grandchildren, Ian D. & Charles M. Shaw and Meredith O. & Henry G. Clark.
Friends may call on Monday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (DIRECTLY) at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Orange. Burial will follow in Oak Cliff Cemetery in Derby.
