Michael J. Regan Sr.

Michael J. Regan Sr., 59, of Derby, entered into eternal rest on May 23, 2013, at Yale-New Haven Hospital, with his loving family by his side, following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Veronica Roni” McAllister Regan.

Mr. Regan was born in Mineola, NY on October 5, 1953, son of the late Thomas and Katherine Donlevy Regan. A resident of Derby since 1979, he was employed as an industrial electrician for 40 years, most recently at the Kerite Corporation in Seymour for 18 years. Michael enjoyed tinkering in his shop, reading, watching old movies, a cold Michelob, and especially spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Roni, he is survived by a son, Michael J. Regan Jr. (Laura) of Derby, a daughter, Kelly A. Regan of Derby, three brothers, Thomas Regan (Marylynn) of FL, Kevin Regan (Joy) of CA, and Brian Regan (Darlene) of Stamford, a sister, Marybeth Regan of Stamford, cherished grandchildren, Thomas J. Regan, James M. Regan, and Theodore Archer Zybort all of Derby, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

On Wednesday May 29, 2013, friends and relatives are invited to a memorial gathering to celebrate Mike’s life from 3 – 6 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101 or through the funeral home.
