Michael John Altieri, Jr. “Mickey”, age 67, of Ansonia entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
He was the devoted husband of 43 years to Suzanne E. (St.Germaine) Altieri. Mickey was born in Bridgeport on October 25, 1954 son of the late Michael John Altieri, Sr. and Hazel (Epifano) Altieri. He grew up in Trumbull and was an Ansonia resident for most of his life. He worked in commercial construction for CT Carpenters Local 210. He had a passion for his work and coworkers.
Mickey was the beloved father of Dawn Altieri and her fiancee David Sullivan and Michele Richmond and her husband Adam, brother of Maria Altieri and loving grandfather of Mikayla, Callie, Kaycee and AJ. He was also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mickey’s personality was infectious. He was a jokester and loved making everyone laugh. He enjoyed cooking, eating hot peppers and homemade macaroni, gardening, working on his koi pond, and playing with his dogs.
Mickey’s biggest joy was his family, the love that he had for his wife and children was unconditional. His four grandchildren who called him Papa, were the light of his life.
On Wednesday friends may call from 12:00 — 1:45 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 2:00 PM for his Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 PM at Assumption Church, 61 North Cliff St., Ansonia.
