Michael Kutniewski, Sr., age 59, of Shelton entered into rest on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Catheline (Pcolka) Kutniewski. Michael was born in Bridgeport on May 29, 1954 son of Elsie Kondrasky Kutniewski and the late Joseph Kutniewski and was a Shelton resident for 45 years.
He attended the Police Academy from 1976 – 1977 and became a Shelton Police Officer for 16 years.
Michael later was a manager at RC Bigelow for 7 years.
The family would like to thank the Smilow Cancer Center at Yale-New Haven Hospital and RC Bigelow for the care given to Michael and his family. He is the loving father of Michael,Jr., Jennifer and Amy Kutniewski, brother of, Joseph Kutniewski, Jr, and his wife Margaret and son-in-law of Eva J. Pcolka.
He also leaves his beloved nieces and nephews, and dearest brothers-in-laws and sisters-in law.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 – 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton.
On Thursday, friends are invited to go directly to St. Joseph Church, 420 Coram Ave. Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New haven Hospital, Closer to Free Fund, P.O. Box 7611, New Haven CT 06519.
