Michael R. Guillet Sr. age 63, a former Ansonia and Beacon Falls resident currently of Stratford, died June 14.
He was born May 5, 1947 in Hardwick, Vt., son of the late George & Olivette Roy Guillet.
He worked as a small engine technician for L & R Power equipment of Monroe & Budget Mower of Stratford.
Michael loved to go camping, and was also an avid NASCAR fan. He loved New Hampshire and Mt. Washington.
Michael was loved by his friends & family; they were fortunate to have him in their lives.
Survivors include Diane Guillet, mother to his two sons, Michael R. Guillet Jr. (Paula) of Oxford, and Mark D. Guillet (Veronica) of Beacon Falls, and his daughter Laura L. Guillet of Shelton; brothers, Nil Guillet of Oxford & Eric Guillet of Prospect, sisters, Gloria Luneau of Seymour, Francine Joslyn of Bristol & Jan Wasko of Seymour, four grandchildren Jacquelynn, Daniel, Victoria & Alexandria Guillet, numerous nieces and nephews and his companion Nancy Christiano of Stratford.
He was predeceased by brothers, Denis, Yvan & Daniel Guillet and sister Joanne Guillet.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 21st at 9:30 a.m. from The Church of the Assumption of Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
