Miguel A. Valdes

Miguel A. Valdes, 54, entered into eternal rest on Thursday evening, March 16, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Diane Saylor Valdes.

Miguel was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on July 5, 1962, loving son of Juan and Eusebia Valdes Sr. of New Haven. A resident of Seymour for twenty-five years, he had worked in the shipping & receiving department at Sikorsky Aircraft (HSI) in Trumbull for fifteen years, until his illness. Miguel was a former volunteer for Ansonia Rescue Medical Services in Ansonia and loved to dance.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by loving children, Jared M. Valdes, and Alexis J. Valdes of Seymour, brothers, Jay Morales (Renee) of West Haven and Juan Valdes Jr. (Dianna) of TN, sisters, Isle Morales of Hamden and Maria Valdes of West Haven and several nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by a sister, Luz Rivera.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday March 20, 2017, from 5 to 8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, relatives and friends are invited to attend Miguel’s funeral service at 10:30 am (Please Meet Directly) at First Baptist Church, 235 Prindle Avenue in Ansonia, with Miguel’s brother-in-law, Rev. David Saylor, officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
