Mildred C. “Millie” Kristopik

Mildred C. Millie” Kristopik, 82, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday morning, November 5, 2012, at The Willows of Woodbridge, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving son, Paul Kristopik and his wife Teresa of Orange, loving daughter, Pamela Alvino and her husband Mario of Woodbridge, and very dear companion, Dr. John Ferdinandus of Hamden. She was the wife of the late Florian Kristopik.

Mrs. Kristopik was born in Shelton on December 5, 1929, daughter of the late Frank and Emily Tichy. Following her service as legal secretary for the Androski Law Firm in Ansonia, Millie was an administrator in the emergency room and admitting department at Griffin Hospital for many years until her retirement. During her retirement, she devoted many years of volunteer service at Griffin Hospital and Milford Hospital, where she received awards for her volunteer contribution which continued through 2012. Millie was a devoted and active communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia where she was a member of its Women’s Guild, church choir, and actively supported many parish events until her recent illness. She was also a member of the Shelton and Derby Senior Centers. Millie avidly played billiards, golfed and always enjoyed polka dancing, cooking, and gardening.

Millie is also survived by a brother, Frank Tichy of Vienna, WV, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by brothers, Anthony and Edward Tichy and Joseph Matocha and a sister Anastasia Piwowarski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday November 9, 2012, at 9:15 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street, Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia.
