Mildred Voroschak, age 91, entered eternal rest on June 26, 2025, at her home in Ansonia.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Voroschak.
Born at home in Ansonia on July 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Emerick and Mary Feltovich Christian. Mildred was raised in Bridgeport and lived there before moving to Ansonia in 1993.
She was a devoted homemaker who lovingly cared for her home and nurtured her family. She attended every baseball game and figure skating competition for her children and was extremely proud of her grandson David Papcin and his accomplishments in school and the community.
After raising her children, Millie embarked on a new journey, entering the workforce for McCrory’s Department Store in Bridgeport then later at Bridgeport City Hall.
She enjoyed trying her luck with trips to the casino, playing bingo, and making traditional Slovak dishes for the holidays. Millie was also an avid fan of UCONN women’s basketball. After suffering a stroke, she was given six weeks to live but her strong will gave her loved ones ten additional years to love together.
Mildred was a strong mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose inspiration, love, honesty, and kindness made the world a more beautiful place.
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Sharon Voroschak-Papcin (David Sr.) of Ansonia, brother, Emery Christian (Diane) of Shelton, grandson, David Papcin Jr. of Ansonia, nieces and nephews, Joan Rousseau (Eric) of Milford, Nancy Peters-Volpe (Joseph) of Milford, Steven Christian of Shelton, and Mark Christian of Shelton. She was predeceased by her son, Patrick Voroschak, brother, George Christian (Annette) and sister, Dorothy Peters.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
