Minnie D’Urbano, 91, formerly of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning June 7, 2014, at Skyview Health Care Center in Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank P. D’Urbano.
Mrs. D’Urbano was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 27, 1922, daughter of the late Fred and Jennie Nordhorn. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was devoted to her family. Minnie enjoyed cooking, knitting afghans and was an avid player of pokeno and bingo.
She is survived by a loving daughter, Frances Froehlich and her husband Harold of Hamden, a sister, Jean Mastrianni of RI, seven grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a great great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters, Rose Marie D’Urbano and Arlene Rose and a brother, Albert Nordhorn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Minnie’s funeral on Thursday June 12, 2014, at 10:00 am (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY) at the Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff Street in Ansonia, for a memorial Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment will immediately follow in the family plot in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. There will be no visiting hours.
