Monica B. Lombardi, age 84, entered peaceful rest on February 9, 2023, at the Lutheran Home in Southbury. She was predeceased by husbands Louis M. Pantaleo Jr. and Ralph J. Lombardi.
Monica was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on March 15, 1938, daughter of the late Alfred J. and Leda Taylor Boulay. She grew up in Ansonia and resided in Seymour since 1965. Monica began her banking career as a teller at Ansonia Savings Bank and retired from the Bank of New Haven as an executive secretary. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of both Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and St. Augustine Church in Seymour. At St. Augustine Church, she was a member of the restoration committee and prayer shawl ministry.
At Holy Rosary Church, she served as Eucharistic Minister, lector, member of the parish council and sang in the choir. Monica was a member of the Valley Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Bank Women as well as the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling but above all, loved spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Daniel L. Pantaleo (Sandra) of Oxford, a daughter, Kathryn A. Pantaleo of Ansonia, a sister, Claire Gagne (Raymond) of Ansonia, granddaughters, Amy Vizzo (Christopher) of Beacon Falls and Megan Cheung (Benjamin) of Fairfield and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Ralph and Guy Boulay and a sister, Jacqueline Sarkes.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Wednesday, her funeral will begin at 11:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mt.
