Mrs. Lorraine Dean, age 74, of Southbury, beloved wife of the late Hugh “Bud” Dean, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center on Stratford.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lydia (Poulter) Huppertz and was born on February 25, 1937 in Bridgeport. Mrs. Dean was a clerical worker for Vitramon in Monroe for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and her family.
Mrs. Dean is survived by her devoted son, James Gombas and his wife Nichole of Naugatuck and her daughter, Lynn Keene of Florida and three step children, Brian Dean and his wife Cindy of Easton, Dottie Wragg and her husband Jay of Plainville, NH and Cindy Filep and her husband Rick of Trumbull and ten grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Ruth Terrell of Oxford and Betty MacConnie and her husband Edward of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
