Nancy N. (LoPresti) Gagliola, 93, peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 8, 2016, at Milford Hospital.
Mrs. Gagliola was born in Derby on February 24, 1923, daughter of the late Stephen and Jennie Gugliuzza LoPresti. She was a graduate of Ansonia High School in 1941, where she was Valedictorian of her class. A resident of Orange since 1974, she was the owner of several beauty salons in the Valley area throughout her career, most notably, dean of the former Valley Academy of Beauty Culture in Ansonia for 35 years. Nancy enjoyed traveling the world, singing and dancing, playing cards and was a fan of the Miami Dolphins.
She is survived by loving sons, Lucian R. Gagliola (Lynn) of Orange and Robert A. Gagliola of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, loving daughters, Carol Hughes (Robert) of The Villages, FL and Robin Stanio (Thomas) of Milford, cherished grandchildren, Ashley Coggins (Cory), Brandon Oldham (Elvia), Lucian C. Gagliola, Jordan L. Gagliola, Vincent R. Adinolfi, Hollyann Adinolfi, Victoria Stanio and Angelo J. Adinolfi, several nieces and nephews and canine grand-dogs, Riley, Gabe and Eleanor. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph LoPresti.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday November 11, 2016, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday, her funeral will commence at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Entombment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Mausoleum in Derby.
