Nguyen Nguyen, age 84 of Derby, devoted wife of the late Tham Nguyen, passed away July 14, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital.
Nguyen was born in Quang Binh, Vietnam December 8, 1929, daughter of the late Mai Nguyen and Lang Nguyen.
She is survived by her sons, Linh Nguyen of Texas, Thai Nguyen of Derby, Thach Nguyen of Shelton, and Nghia Nguyen of Derby; her daughters, Hue Nguyen of Vietnam, Chau Nguyen of Seymour, and Thanh Nguyen of Oklahoma; her sister Tung Nguyen of Vietnam; 12 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several of her brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 9 AM in St. Augustine Cathedral, 359 Washington Ave., Bridgeport with Rev. Augustine Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 286 River Road, Shelton. Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 9 PM in the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton.
