Nicholas Aprea, Jr., age 82, of Naugatuck entered into rest on January 1, 2025 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was the devoted husband of the late Catherine Aprea. Nicholas was born in New Haven on March 26, 1942 son of the late Nicholas Aprea, Sr. and Elizabeth (Conte) Aprea and was a valley resident for most of his life.
He proudly served with the US Army. Nicholas worked in the mail department at Sikorsky Aircraft for 30 years until his retirement.
He was the father of Nicholas Aprea, III and his wife Lisa of Shelton, grandfather of Jeremy Aprea of Shelton and brother of Lenora Winslow of Tualatin, OR.
A Graveside service will be held in the spring at a day and time to be announced in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
