Nicholas Hudobenko, 90 years old, husband of the late Anna Batza Hudobenko and resident of Shelton, entered into eternal rest July 2. He was born March 1, 1924 in Waterbury, son of the late Wasil & Nancy Hudobenko.
Nick was a devoted custodian for 50 years at Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church in Bridgeport, where he was also a member and lived on the church property. He also worked at Griffin Hospital in Derby for over 20 years. Nick was a veteran of both World War II & Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his devoted brother Martin Hudobenko & his wife Joan of Ansonia, and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Olga, Hope, Mary, Alexander, Leon, Antip, Walter & Steven.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. from The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
