Nicholas T. Macero Jr., age 64, entered into eternal rest on September 25, 2018, at Smilow Cancer Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Anita Walsh Macero.
Nicky was born in Derby, son of the late Nicholas T. Macero Sr. and Grace Jeanetti Macero. He was employed as the Director of Automotive at Emmett O’Brien Technical High School in Ansonia for twenty-five years.
He was also co-owner of the former Charlie & Leon’s Restaurant in Ansonia and owner of Denita Construction.
Always up for a challenge, there was nothing broken that he could not fix nor anything he could not build. Nick’s true passion was helping others, especially his family. He loved playing cards with his friends at the club and would go out of his way to save an animal in distress.
In addition to his wife Anita, he leaves to cherish his memory, a loving brother, Louis Macero (Vivian) of Ansonia, loving sisters, Elisa Macero of Middletown and Patricia Macero of Ansonia, sister-in-law, Sandra Fortier (Maurice), cherished nieces and nephews, Francis Macero (Jeannette), Matthew Macero (Suzanne), Rebecca Lydem, Jason Macero, Erica Macero (Nick), Nikki Civitella (Tony), Danielle Broderick (Mike), Matthew Broderick (Amy), Tamara Collins and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Francis Macero Sr.
