Noreen Donahue, an 81-year-old former longtime Ansonia resident, passed away peacefully March 17 in Naugatuck. She was born March 1, 1932 in Derby, daughter of the late Frances & Elizabeth (Sheehy) Donahue.
Noreen graduated from Assumption School in Ansonia and Ansonia High School. She worked for Security Insurance in New Haven and Farrel Corp.in Ansonia. She also volunteered at My Sister’s Place in Ansonia.
She is survived by her cousin Theodore Donahue and his wife Patricia of Waterbury and best friends Patricia Honas & Margaret Cronin. Noreen was predeceased by her sister Maura Donahue, with whom she lived.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday March 20 at 12 NOON at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St., Ansonia, before the funeral leaves for church. (www.jenkinskingfh.com)
