Nunziata “Noni” Micciche, an 86 year old Ansonia resident, entered into eternal rest Sept. 24. She was born Sept. 1, 1934 in Patti, Messina, Sicily, daughter of the late Giacinto and Febronia Maniaci Ombrello.
She worked as a seamstress for Marie Antoinette Bridal Shop as well as at Dunkin Donuts. She was an active parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia. Noni loved her cats, she loved gardening and cooking.
She also loved attending to her fig trees. Most of all, she loved and devoted her life to her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Salvatore Micciche and daughter Maria Micciche, both of Ansonia, six grandchildren Marie, Venessa, Chelsey, Natascia, Alexa and Maria, four great grandchildren Cam, Caleb, Giada and Vivienna, and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her two sons Giuseppe and Angelo. Friends may call on Tuesday Sept. 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, before the funeral leaves for church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday Sept. 29 at 11:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett St. Ansonia. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Mausoleum in Derby.
