Oley H. Morgan

Oley H. Morgan, 84, of Woodland Park in Shelton, entered into peaceful rest on Friday, September 3, 2010, at the Bridgeport Hospital following a long illness. 

Mr. Morgan was born in Baileysville, West Virginia on Dec. 7, 1925, son of the late Harrison and Mary Ellen Ellis Morgan. A resident of Shelton since 1960, he was employed as a blade tester for Sikorsky Aircraft for over 40 years until his retirement. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Oley was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed target shooting and gun collecting. 

He is survived by two sons, Allen Morgan and his wife Betty and Steven Morgan of Shelton, a daughter, Doris DuBail and her husband Guy of Monroe, a brother, Lacy Morgan of Baileysville, WV, former wife, Barbara Beverly of Derby, 5 grandchildren, Aimee Morgan of Stratford, Jennifer Morgan and Pamela Morgan of Shelton, and Joshua DuBail and Jeffrey DuBail of Monroe, a great-grandson, Jordan Peck of Shelton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. 

Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday September 8, 2010 at 10:00 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia with the Rev. David Abbott officiating. Burial with U.S. Army military honors will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 – 8 pm.
