Patricia M. Francis, age 79, of Shelton, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Rodney Francis. Patricia was born in New Haven on September 29, 1945, daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Leonard) Campbell, and was a longtime resident of Shelton.
Patricia was a devout Catholic and a long time parishioner of St Margaret Mary’s Church. She worked in retail sales for many years before retirement. Patricia enjoyed gardening, coin collecting, trips to the casino, county fairs, luncheons with the ladies and reading. Her greatest joy in life was time spent with her family.
She is the beloved mother of Linda Sicinski and her husband Carl, Bernadine Gilbert and her husband Kevin, Sharon Heltzel and her partner Mark Nordle, and Halvor Francis and his partner Jessica Kowal. She also leaves 10 cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Jennifer, Megan, David, Spencer, Mackenzie, Tanya, Tyler, Jayson, and Hayley, one great-grandson Colton, four siblings, James Campbell, Maureen Nuzzello, Carol Spano, and Kathy Campbell, and many nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Campbell, a sister, Barbara Lefler, and infant twin sons.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton on Saturday June 14, 2025 from 8:30 am to 10:00. Her funeral service will begin at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Huntington Lawn Cemetery.
Her daughter Linda who lovingly cared for Patricia through her illness would like to send a special thank you to those who helped and supported her with that care. Linda’s husband Carl, sons David and Jayson and her niece Mackenzie. Also Sunset Shores Adult Day Center and the Agency on Aging Staff. Donations in Patricia’s memory can be made to the Agency on Aging of Southwestern CT1000 Lafayette Boulevard, Bridgeport, CT 06604 for the support they give Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers.
