Patricia L. Heath, age 56, of East Haven, and formerly of Derby, entered into rest on Friday March 30, 2018 in Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She is the devoted wife of Erik Heath who she has been with for 15 years.
Patricia was born and raised in Bridgeport on July 26, 1961 daughter of the late Wilfred and Carol (Smith) Garnett. She was employed as a machinist at Dresser Industries for many years.
She enjoyed going to the casino, dancing, but most of all she loved to have family gatherings.
She is the beloved mother of Carol Garnett, Devon Garnett, Takisha Garnett, and Levar Edmonds. She is the loving sister of Leslie Coleman, Elana Garnett, Jacqueline Garnett, Carolyn Garnett, and the late Thomas Rucker, and the late Michael Garnett.
Patricia is the cherished grandmother of Tasheen Garnett, Tanaisha Bagley, Jameel Barnhill, Jaide Barnhill, Jahnae Green-Younger, Roshad Green-Younger, Devon Garnett, Jr, Desiree Garnett, Jazale Garnett, Zhaire Edmonds, and Liana Edmonds. She is the adored great grandmother of Jacob Freeman, and T. J. Garnett. She also leaves many nieces and nephews who she loved very much, and her Best Friend for the past 30 years Charlotte Fraser.
Friends may greet her family on Thursday from 5 to 6:30 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. At 6:30 PM a funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home.
