Patricia L. “The Girl” Rich, age 65, of Shelton entered into rest on Monday, December 17, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was the devoted wife of 35 years to Terrence Rich.
Patricia was born in Bridgeport, on August 27, 1953 daughter of the late Adam and Helen (Kuklis) Lula and was a Shelton resident for most of her life.
She received her Bachelor of Science from Sacred Heart University.
Patricia was a graduate from the St. Vincent’s School of Nursing. She became the head nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital in 1975, her second year after graduation.
Later, she was the Hospital Administrator for five years.
Patricia loved to travel and go on adventures with her family.
She is the loving mother of Adam Rich and his wife Kelly and Sarah Rich and her husband Ken Michek, sister of, Adam, Joseph, John, Robert and Thomas Lula, Evelyn Gowel and Donna Santos and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Patricia is predeceased by her brother Michael Lula.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton.
On Friday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for her Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church.
Her burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
