Patricia M. Boland Henley

Patricia M. Boland Henley, age 93, of Shelton entered into rest on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Shelton Lakes with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Warren Henley. 

Mrs. Henley was born in Ridgefield on December 30, 1923, daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Tierney) Boland. She graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1941 and went on and became a Registered Nurse from the St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in 1944. Mrs. Henley worked in area nursing homes and spent the last 20 years of her career working at Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she retired in 1991. Patricia was a beautiful, classy and loving woman who had a passion for fashion, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She brought smiles, joy and laughter to all she encountered and left a lasting impression on her family. The family would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff at Shelton Lakes for their care and compassion. 

She is the beloved mother of Gregory E. Henley, Patricia E. Tottenham, and Cynthia H. Burke. Mrs. Henley is the loving grandmother of Scott Tottenham and his wife Lori, Kelly Tottenham, Kristine Viglietta and her husband Chris, Allyson Danso and her husband Gerry, Shannon Burke and her fiance Tom Gorton, Ryan Burke and his wife Kaitlin, great grandmother of Megan and Paige Tottenham, Riley Daniel Banghart, Collin Viglietta and Brayden Danso. She is also survived by two special nephews Peter and Philip Cater and several other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Henley is predeceased by two sisters, Christine Cater and Mary Elyn Evans, a son-in-law William H. Burke and a daughter-in-law Suzanne Kamaitis Henley. 

Friends may call on Thursday from 10 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 12:15 PM. for her Mass of Christian Burial at 1;00 PM at St. Joseph Church Shelton. Her burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton, CT 06484.
