Patsy A. Pensiero

Patsy A. Pensiero, age 78, of Shelton entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Griffin Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of 57 years to Donna Kay (Hood) Pensiero. 

Pat was born in Bridgeport on March 6, 1946 son of the late Thomas and Theresa (DiBiagio) Pensiero and was a Shelton resident since 1973. Pat proudly served with the U.S Air Force. He owned and operated P & F Fine Foods in Norwalk before becoming the deli manager at Big Y until his retirement. Pat was an avid bowler and a huge Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed playing cards and in his earlier years coached Babe Ruth baseball. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. 

Pat was the beloved father of Donna Bartlett and her husband Larry, Laura Abbott and her husband Tom and Tom Pensiero, brother of Patricia Benesky and her husband Billy and loving grandfather of Tyler, Christopher, Kayleigh, Madison, Jesse, Austin and Grace. He was also survived by his brother in-law Keith Hood and his wife Laurie, several nieces, nephews, best friends Carl and Wally, as well as many others, including his special cat, Toby.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday, January 23 from 4 to 7 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. His funeral service will be at 4:30 PM in the parlor. In celebration of Pat’s love of the Green Bay Packers, please join us in wearing green or your favorite color. On Friday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 AM for his burial with military honors at 10:00 AM at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane in Middletown.
