Paul Desiderioscioli

Paul Desiderioscioli, age 83, of Milford, unexpectedly entered into peaceful rest on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Amy Yvonne” Fane Desiderioscioli. 

Mr. Desiderioscioli was born in Bridgeport on June 14, 1938, son of the late Giacomo and Mary Rich Desiderio. A resident of Milford for most of his adult life, he was employed as a lead man at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for thirty-nine years, until his retirement in 1999. Paul loved to travel, especially to Savannah, Georgia and enjoyed fine dining. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Paul Desiderioscioli Jr. (Dolores) of Branford and James Wheway Jr. of PA, daughters, Jan Sperling of Hamden, Cindy Peterson (David) of Seymour and Cheryl Wheway of West Haven, sisters, Florence Truman of Pittman, NJ and Louise McDaniel of Bridgeport, grandchildren, Shawn Peterson, Kim Benoit, Richard Andrea, Beau Andrea, Alyssa Andrea, Angelique Remy, Michael Desiderioscioli and Kevin Desiderioscioli, great-grandchildren, Jayda Benoit, Jakson Mathews and Kai Peterson as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his companion, Patricia Pyle and a sister, Jean Giannino. 

Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 1 pm, meeting directly at the family plot, (Section 11) in St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford, CT. Inurnment of both Paul’s and Amy’s cremains will follow. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.
