Paul R. Thompson, Jr., age 79 of Shelton, entered into rest on Monday July 15, 2024 in his home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Marguerite (Mills) Thompson.
He was born in Norwich, CT on May 17, 1945 son of the late Paul and Helen Thompson and was a Shelton resident for most of his life.
Paul was a Tech Ed Teacher at Brien McMahon High School for many years until his retirement, helping shape the lives of many young people he taught. He was a Gideon and his faith was of the utmost importance to him. He gave a bible to every person he met. He loved art and music, especially hymns.
As an accomplished woodworker, Paul enjoyed turning bowls on his lathe. He was also a master Gardener. On his daily walks, Paul would reflect and pray for others.
He is the loving father of Laura Elizabeth Roessler and her late husband Matthew and Jason Christopher Thompson and his wife Rhonda, loving grandfather of Andrew and McKenzie Thompson, Hannah, Emily, and Jacob Roessler, great grandfather of Luke and Scout Thompson, brother of Michael, Dennis and Maryanne and the late Eileen.
