Paul Wojciechowski, age 65, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday evening, January 8, 2022, in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lida Princevalli.
Paul was born in Derby on January 2, 1957, son of Cecelia Burch Wojciechowski of Ansonia and the late Benjamin Wojciechowski. A lifelong resident of the Ansonia community, he was employed as a custodian for the Ansonia Board of Education for twenty years and later at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, until his retirement. Paul was an avid fan of the New York Giants where he was a season ticket holder for over forty years. He also loved the Boston Red Sox and fishing with his buddies, Frank and “Hartsy.”
In addition to his wife Lida, he leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Paul Wojciechowski Jr. of Naugatuck, a daughter, Somer Stahl Lewis (Jeremy) of Wrightsville Beach, NC, a sister, Joan Iaccarino of Wallingford, granddaughter, Adelyn Lewis, best friends, Gary C., Bubba, PJ, Bobby D. and Neil as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Wojciechowski.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday morning, January 15, 2022, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Masks are required and the family asks that once you have paid respects, to please exit the funeral home and meet directly at 11:00 am, at Saint Joseph Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia, where Paul’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul’s name may be made to the Closer to Free Fund, which jointly supports Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven and Yale Cancer Center.
