Penny Candy Northrop, 46, of Seymour, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2014, at Waterbury Hospital.
Penny was born in Bridgeport on February 26, 1968, beloved daughter of Joan Croteau Stoliker of Seymour and the late David J. Stoliker Jr. She was employed as a cook in the catering business for many years. Penny’s greatest joy was helping others. She continued to do so after her passing by being an organ donor and already saved three lives. She also enjoyed motorcycle riding and playing pool.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a loving son, Michael Nodine Jr., a loving daughter, Felicia Nodine, both of Seymour, three sisters, Ethel Waters and Debra Koniuszewsky of Waterbury and Susan Waters of Prospect, a cherished grandson, Joshua Ortiz and several nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, David Stoliker III.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday November 2, 2014, from 2 – 4 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 4:00 pm, a funeral service in celebration of Penny’s life will take place with Pastor Jim Wegner officiating. Interment will be private in the family plot in Trinity Cemetery in Seymour.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home to assist with expenses.
