Peter J. Sultzbach Jr.

Peter J. Sultzbach Jr., age 45, entered into eternal rest on April 10, 2018, in his residence in Tamarac, Florida. 

Peter was born in Derby, CT on September 29, 1972, loving son of Mary Ellen DeBiase Hartsburg of Derby and Peter J. Sultzbach Sr. of Milford. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1990 and entered the U.S. Army in 1993, courageously serving five tours of duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom. There, Peter was a paratrooper and Jump Master in the elite Night Stalker Special Forces, until his honorable discharge in 2006. He went on to graduate from Miami Dade College as a Registered Nurse and was currently employed for South Florida Vascular Associates and in the Emergency Department at University Hospital & Medical Center in Tamarac, Florida. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, NY Yankees and rock band, Rush.

In addition to his mother and father, he leaves to cherish his memory, a brother, Kenneth Hartsburg of Shelton, grandmother, Frances DeBiase of Ansonia, aunts and uncles, Patricia and Robert DeBiase of Seymour and Barbara and Charles Sultzbach of Ansonia and several cousins and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 10:00 am (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY) at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial with U.S. Army military honors will immediately follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour.
