Peter N. DellaRocco

Peter N. DellaRocco, 92, peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 10, 2015, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Melanson Michaud DellaRocco.

Mr. DellaRocco was born in Ansonia on May 31, 1923, son of the late Felice and Filomena Perrotti DellaRocco. He grew up in Ansonia and lived most of his adult life in Derby. He served in the U.S. Army during WW 2. He was employed as a supervisor at the former B.F. Goodrich in Shelton for over 30 years until his retirement. Peter was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church and a member of its Catholic Men’s Club. He enjoyed playing and watching golf, cooking, traveling and especially spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Mary Ann, he is survived by sons, Phil DellaRocco (Christine) of MI, Carl DellaRocco (Beverly) of Ansonia, Robert Michaud (Ruth) of VA, Bruce Michaud of Wallingford and David Michaud of Woodbury, daughters, Karen Fearnley (Arthur) of Derby, Susan Zammarelli of MA, and Karen Terebesi of Branford, a sister, Amelia Malerba of Derby, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Carlo, Clement, Frank, Michael and Albert DellaRocco and sisters, Josephine Abromaitis and Pauline Badamo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday December 16, 2015, at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting will take place on WEDNESDAY MORNING from 8:30 am until the procession leaves for church in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
