Peter W. Danielczuk

Peter W. Danielczuk, age 76, entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2021, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, following a short illness. 

Peter was born in Derby on June 1, 1944, son of the late Walter and Stella Brzostowska Danielczuk. A resident of Shelton for forty-five years, he was employed at Handy & Harmon in Fairfield for many years and later as a school bus driver for the Winkle Bus Co. in Orange. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Peter was a talented accordion player in the band, Long Island Sounds.” He was an animal lover and enjoyed trips to amusement parks with his sons and celebrating his Polish heritage by attending Polish picnics and festivals in the Bridgeport and Valley areas. Peter also enjoyed vegetable gardening and tending to his blueberry bushes. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Mark P. Danielczuk of Shelton and Gerald R. Danielczuk (Nelcia Vaz-Danielczuk) of Danbury, grandchildren, Taylor and Samuel Danielczuk and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Stella Barbara Zietek.

A walk-through visitation for family and friends will take place on Friday May 28, 2021, from 10:00 am until 11:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Masks will be required for entry. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 12:00 noon at St. Michael’s Church, 75 Derby Avenue in Derby. Interment with U.S. Navy military honors will immediately follow in the CT State Veterans’ Cemetery in Middletown.
