Peter Wanciak

Peter Wanciak, age 79 of Seymour, entered into peaceful rest Feb. 13, 2011 at Shady Knoll Health Center. 

He was the beloved husband of the late Irene (Kratka) Wanciak. 

Mr. Wanciak was born in Seymour on June 9, 1931, son of the late Joseph and Potia (Churick) Wanciak. Peter was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired Millwright from the Bic Pen Corp., Milford. 

In his early years, Peter was an Automobile Mechanic, and in his spare time he enjoyed yard work, doing home repairs, and taking long walks.

Peter leaves his loving family including, two sisters, Dorothy Healey of Seymour, and Terry Dulina of Virginia Beach, VA, his niece, Cheryl Healey of Seymour, a nephew, Benjamin Stone of Oxford, and several other nieces and nephews. 

His brothers, Joseph, William, Phillip, and Edward, and sisters, Helen Limbrunner, and Ann Baranek predeceased him.

A funeral service in celebration of Peter’s life will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour with Monsignor John M. Terlecky, Pastor of St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Church officiating. 

Interment with full Military Honors will take place in the springtime in St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery.
