Phillip Caraglior

Phillip Caraglior, age 89, of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Rahrig) Caraglior. Phillip was born in Bridgeport on February 17, 1928, son of the late Philip and Jane (Classy) Caraglior, and lived in Shelton most of his life.

He served his country with the US Marine Corps. Before his retirement, Phillip had a career in data processing for the former Buckley Brothers Company, and was President of DPMA. An avid jigsaw puzzle enthusiast, many of his completed projects adorn the walls of Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes, where he was well known and celebrated as the Puzzle Man”. He was a big fan of the UConn Ladies Huskies and the New York Yankees. 

He is the beloved father of Glenn Caraglior, Lynn Warecke and her husband Frank, Paul Caraglior and his wife Jennifer (O’Shea) Caraglior, Amy Gulick and her husband Glenn, and David Caraglior and his wife Jennifer. He also leaves twelve cherished grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Romano and Jane Caraglior.

Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM. On Monday his funeral will be held at the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
