Phyliss L. Lembo, 100, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning Sept. 20, 2009 at the Birmingham Health Care in Derby.
Miss Lembo was born in Ansonia on Sept. 8, 1909 daughter of the late Michael and Victoria Abbatiello Lembo. A lifelong Ansonia resident, she was employed as a seamstress at various dress shops and at the former Isaacson’s Clothing Store in Seymour. Phyliss was a long time communicant of the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.
She is survived by a sister Mollie Lembo of Ansonia, four nephews, Joseph A. Lembo Jr. of Orange, Deacon Victor M. Lembo of Beacon Falls, Michael Lembo of Brookfield, Louis Lembo of Derby, two nieces, Victoria DeJoseph of Seymour and Marion Hylwa of Brewster, MA and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Frank, Louis, Nicholas, and Joseph Lembo Sr. and sisters Rose and Josephine Lembo.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday Sept. 22, 2009 at 10:30 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.
