Rafael García, de 52 años y residente de Bridgeport, falleció el jueves 10 de abril de 2025 en el Centro Médico San Vincente’s, acompañado de su querida familia. Es el dedicado esposo de Eva (Domínguez) García, con quien ha estado casado durante 33 años. Nació en México, hijo de Rubén García y Liboria Martínez, y residió en Bridgeport durante 23 años despues de residir en Stamford durante 11 años tras llegar de México. Fue camionero y empresario durante su carrera. Le encantaba el fútbol, conducir, y sobre todo, pasar tiempo con su familia.
Es el amado padre de Edgar García y su esposa Paisley, residentes de Shelton; Isaac García, residente de Bridgeport; Stephanie García, residente de Bridgeport; y Clarissa García, residente de Bridgeport; y hermano cariñoso de Febe, Gumercindo, Alfredo, Armando, Rubén, y Adriana. También le sobreviven varios sobrinos y sobrinas. Los amigos podrán recibir a la familia el domingo en la Iglesia Adventista Hispana del Séptimo Día de Bridgeport, ubicada en 980 Sylvan Avenue, Bridgeport, de 2pm a 5pm. El funeral se celebrará el lunes a las 11:00 am en la iglesia. El entierro se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio Lawn, ubicado en Lane Street, Shelton.

Rafael Garcia, age 52, of Bridgeport, entered into rest on Thursday April 10, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. He is the devoted husband of 33 years to Eva (Dominguez) Garcia. He was born in Mexico son of Ruben Garcia and Liboria Martinez and was a resident of Bridgeport for 23 years prior living in Stamford for 11 years after coming from Mexico. He was a Truck Driver and Business Owner during his career. He loved Soccer, Driving, and most of all spending time with his family.
He is the beloved father of Edgar Garcia and his wife Paisley of Shelton, Isaac Garcia of Bridgeport, Stephanie Garcia of Bridgeport, and Clarissa Garcia of Bridgeport; loving brother to Febe, Gumercindo, Alfredo, Armando, Ruben and Adriana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet the family on Sunday at the Bridgeport Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, 980 Sylvan Avenue, Bridgeport from 2 – 5 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Church. Burial will follow in Lawn Cemetery, Lane Street, Shelton.
