Ralph J. Lombardi

Ralph J. Lombardi, 79, entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2016, in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of Monica Boulay Lombardi.

Mr. Lombardi was born in Ansonia on June 24, 1936, son of the late Pasquale and Michelina Giarratano Lombardi. He was an active communicant of St. Augustine Church in Seymour. He taught the altar servers and served daily Mass for ten years. For his dedication to the church, Ralph was awarded the Saint Joseph Archdiocesan Medal of Appreciation in 2012, by Archbishop Henry J. Mansell, DD. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington and France.

In addition to his wife Monica, he is survived by a son, Christopher Lombardi of Bangkok, Thailand, a daughter, Lynn Lombardi of Fountain Valley, CA, a sister, Jean Michalak of Shelton, nephews, Joseph Michalak (Claire), Lawrence Michalak (Lorie) and their children and many cousins. He is also survived by his wife’s children, Daniel Pantaleo (Sandra) and Kathryn Pantaleo.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 15, 2016, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Wednesday, his funeral will take place at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Avenue in Seymour. Interment with U.S. Army military honors will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
